Board Game Cafe FAQ
How much does it cost?
We charge a $5 + tax board game library fee for guests who want to play board games. Stopping in just for a drink or a bite? No fee at all.
The library fee covers your seat for up to three hours and helps us keep our games well-stocked and in great shape. If you leave and return later in the day to play again, a new fee applies.
Do I have to pay cover if I'm not playing a board game?
No! If you’re dropping by to grab a drink or a bite to eat, you do not have to pay the board game library fee. We ask that you be considerate of how long you are occupying a table.
If I'm coming in to play an escape room, do I have to pay the board game library fee?
If you have an escape room booked at Wonderland, you're welcome to enjoy board games for up to one hour before or after your booking at no extra charge, space allowing. Just keep in mind that the cafe may be reserved for private events, so a table is never guaranteed.
Are children welcome?
YES! We are a family friendly facility. Children under the age of 2 are free with a paying adult.
Can I reserve a table?
Tables are first come, first served for groups of eight or fewer. If your group is larger, we'd love to help you plan ahead. Reach out at hello@wonderlandkingston.com to reserve your spot.
Can I bring my own games?
Yes, but you will still be required to pay the board game library fee, and you will need to check your personal game in/out. We don’t want your games to get mixed in with ours, so we ask that you check your game in with a curator when you arrive, then check it out as you leave.
