October is the month of spooks and scares. Sometimes the best way to get the most out of things is having the right mindset. What better way to get pumped up than watching movies? The answer is food, but we’re going to talk about movies. Since it’s October it is only fitting that we talk about Halloween movies.

If you’ve ever been to Improbable Escapes then you may already know that our Game Development team are inspired by movies and books. If you didn’t know… SURPRISE! Yes, you now have an excuse to have a movie marathon. If you plan on stopping in for a Halloween adventure watch these movies to … “prepare” yourself.

Survive the Basement

There are some truths in every story. Unfortunately for you and your team, this hospital basement has a gruesome story to tell. If you want to be mentally prepared for this game, watch American Horror Story (season 2), Halloween II, and/or Greystone Park. Coroner’s Report is our only game intended to be scary and horrifying. Play if you are truly brave of heart… or enjoy being scared.

Investigate the Supernatural Realm

After studying long and hard you’ve earned your title as a paranormal investigator. Kingston is a hotbed of paranormal activity, so you’ll have your work cut out for you as you rid downtown of it’s ghost problem. What are you going to watch to get psyched up for Ghost Town? Ghostbusters of course. Kingston IS home to one of the original Ghostbusters after all.

Save the World

The Cure for the Common Zombie is your chance to save the world from the zombie apocalypse. It is not a horror or scary game (except for a few bodies), but that doesn’t mean it can’t be. If you want to amplify your zombie experience watch the Walking Dead or Resident Evil before the game.
